Primitive Wooden Crow
Coldest Giveaway : thecoldestwater.com/Rick%20Ma...
Shop The Coldest Water: thecoldestwater.com/?ref=rick...
This is how I make a wooden crow on a stand in the primitive style. This project can be made of pallet wood as the primitive style prefers rough looking wood. That doesn't mean to leave the edges ragged and splintery but the overall look of the wood can be rough and unfinished. I used a thin watered down paint on the base so the grain would show through.

My Covid Experience
Просмотров 7103 года назад
This video is a description of the symptoms and various measures I went through after testing positive for Covid-19. This is NOT medical advice, it's simply what I went through when I had Covid. They tell me that everyone's experience is different so you can take this with a grain of salt. Because I was not hospitalized this is considered a minor case but it didn't feel all that minor at the time.

Making Wooden Combs

Making combs from piece of cherry wood. This is my first attempt at making combs and it turned out to be an interesting project. I chose some easy line carving and fretwork for the combs I make in this video. Patreon: www.patreon.com/rickmayotte

I do like this saw. I have a couple issues with it though. The biggest so far was with the bevel adjustment mechanism. The part back by where it tightens has a screw where the rod goes in. The screw sheared off. It wasn't hard to get out and replace, but keep in mind not to over torque the mechanism and over time may become weak. I replaced mine with a harder screw. The other issue is the laser seems really weak. I really don't depend on it, but since it's a feature, I was hoping it would work better than it does. I put a WEN 100 tooth blade on mine. The saw actually is pretty quiet in general for wood cutting tool to me. It does a fantastic job in the overall performance of what it was designed to do.

Good video however your sleeves dangling beside the spinning work piece was distracting. I wonder if the taper dimensions could have determined by first measuring the thickness of the metal at the top of the socket and then subtracting twice that amount from the diameter of the taper at the bottom? Obviously if you measure right at the bottom of the socket the wall thickness is greater but I’d bet it’s uniform most of the way down.
